It might work just fine, but it also might give you a terrible headache. So please try to understand. And you can always try PAS+, which is still few lightyears ahead of the rest in sound quality. =) If GUS hangs or won't be detected then you might have to try running ULTRINIT or SBOS. Occasionally they cure the problem! (Note that you should have set the environment variable ULTRASND. The player uses GUS's own timer, not the one of the machine, so also the GF1-irq matters. Default parameters are xxx,1,1,11,5 Also note that at least on my machine the GUS screws up SBPro if they both have same irq (midiirq). Additionally GUS's GF1-irqs die.) -Snn - set mixing rate With this selector you can easily experiment with machine hangups. The default mixing rate is 20kHz, but with PAS you can choose one up to 44kHz (i guess). -Inn - force interrupt on SB & SBPro -Dn - force DMA on SB & SBPro -Mik_rules_the_scene - nothing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have fun and see you at Assembly '94 Mik / Sonic
