A link is a logical connection between
each row of a source table and a unique
row of a destination table.
It is most commonly used to associate an identifier,
"tech_id" in the "measurements" table of
figure ![[*]](crossref.png)
, for example,
with information about that identifier—a row in the
"technicians" table in this case.
