The File Menu

Shrink
Lets you shrink the files which are selected in the file box.
Shrink All (Pro Version only)

Shrinks all files in the current folder and all sub folders.

Shrink Clipboard (Pro Version only)

Grabs html code from the clipboard, shrinks it and places the shrunken html code again on the clipboard.

Simulate Shrinking (Pro Version only)

Simulates the shrinking of all files in the current folder and all sub folders. Other than the 'Shrink All' command the shrunken files aren't saved. The processing is only done in RAM.

Analyze (Pro Version only)

Analyzes all selected (unshrunken) files and tells you which html elements would be removed when shrinking a file. Additionally it lists how many bytes would be saved for each element type. The elements mostly correspond to the Shrinking option of the Options dialog. Applying this command to an already shrunken file doesn't make sense.

Analyze All (Pro Version only)

Works like the Analyze command, but is applied to all files within the current folder and all sub folder.

View

Displays the selected file in the default browser. The same effect can be achieved by double clicking on a file in the file box.

Show Source

Displays the selected file in the Notpad.exe.

Restore

Restores the original state of the shrunken files which are selected in the file box. This is done by replacing the shrunken file with the backup file. If you deactivated HTML Shrinker's Backup feature this command won't work.

Restore All (Pro Version only)

Restores the original state of the shrunken files in the current folder and all sub folders.

Remove Backups

Removes the backups created by HTML Shrinker in the current folder.

Remove All Backups (Pro Version only)

Removes the backups created by HTML Shrinker in the current folder and all sub folders.

Options

Displays the Options dialog

Open Options (Commercial Pro Version only)

Lets you opens a HSO file that contains all settings of the Options dialog. By doing so all settings that were previously saved to the HSO file are restored.

If you want to shrink a web site with different shrinking options, just open the appropriate HSO file before shrinking. However, it is much easier if you add your web sites to the Sites menu and specify a HSO file for each one. When choosing a web site from the Sites menu, the specified HSO file will then be opened automatically.

Save Options (Commercial Pro Version only)

Saves all settings of the Options dialog to a HSO file. This allows you to create a HSO file for each of your web sites in order to shrink them with different shrinking options. Please notice that a HSO file can be specified for each web site that is displayed in the Sites menu.

Exit

Exits the program.
