Genie Timeline ensures users of the status of the backup with the new protection level feature. This feature enables users to keep track of the process of their backup by showing the percentage of protected files. 100% means that all files are protected and there is nothing to backup and 0% denotes that there are no files protected. When the protection level drops under 60% will show as a warning that protection level is low. The Protection level decreases if:
New files were added to backup and they are still not backed up
Significant changes occurred on backup during the half hour
The backup is not working due to the service being pause, drive is inaccessible, or due to inefficient free space
The protection level can be viewed in one of the two ways
Automatically updated as an icon in the system tray, mouse over the icon and the percentage will appear
Click the System Tray Agent> the mini-dashboard will appear with the protection level
Right click the System Tray Agent> Select Open Dashboard, this will also give you a more detailed view of the backup status
