From the Smart selections you can ensure that your mobile data is safe by choosing to backup your:
iPhone/iPad/iPod:
Genie Timeline intelligently creates a backup of your iPhone or iPad or iPod data that you have synced to your computer. iTunes can create backups of settings and certain other information on iPhone and iPad as well as the iPod, Genie Timeline creates constant up to date backups of these files by scanning the following directory in the application data folder:
Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
You can use this backup to restore this information to your iPhone or iPod after a software restore or update, or to transfer information to a different device.
Blackberry Smart-phone:
Timeline also creates a backup of your Blackberry device by scanning for the .IPD extension, which is an extension created by the Blackberry Desktop application, depending on which data was selected for backup, .IPD files may contain anything from the user's address book and emails to memos, SMS messages and even configuration data.
Note
Timeline cannot detect any changes or additions to files on your iPhone/iPad/iPod unless they are synced through iTunes first.
What you are able to select to be backed up from your Blackberry device depends on the type of device and version of the Blackberry Desktop.
