Although Genie Timeline runs automatically in the background, users can control the backup process by pausing and resuming backup. If a user pauses a backup while Genie Timeline is currently backing up a file, Genie Timeline will continue backing up where it left off.
Method 1:
Right click the System Tray Agent located by your system clock.
Click Pause.
Method 2:
Click the System Tray Agent located by your system clock, the Mini-Dashboard will pop-up.
Click Pause.
Method 3:
Open the Dashboard.
Click Pause.

Click Resume.
Method 2:
Click the System Tray Agent, the Mini-Dashboard will pop-up.
Click Resume.

Open the Dashboard.

Notes
Once the system reboots while the backup is paused, Genie Timeline will automatically resume backing up to ensure complete system protection.
Pausing the backup is not recommended as it will reduce
the protection level and will not enhance system performance. Genie Timeline
backup runs on minimum requirements and automatically adjusts its resource
use based on the usage of other programs.
