ALT-T = Disable Semi-Transparancy (for older sytems or older video cards). - Known Issues! - On some WinNT and Win2000 systems the sound has a delay. (this is a known bug in the sound drivers/ sound.dll). Be sure that HaCKeR.log and HaCKeR.dat are NOT READ-ONLY! Otherwise your control settings and Hi-Scores won't be saved. Be sure to open port 5005 in your firewall if you want to host an internet game! You need a good ping to fully enjoy LAN or Internet play, make sure you check your ping (F7) before mailing me any bug reports! If you hold down to many keys on the keyboard at once, the keyboard won't recognize a new keypress. This is a hardware problem, try it out in notepad... same problem! Try using different combinations of keys or only use 1 player on the keyboard, and use a Joystick for the other player. Some older video cards might draw graphics differently, which might corrupt the semi-transparent images on-screen. Press ALT-T to disable the semi-transparancy! - Credits - Mad Butch : Coding, Graphics, Sound FX, Level design, Testing - MadButch@OneCoolDude.Com Domino : Sound FX, Music - weerden@cuci.nl ChRoNiX : Graphics - chronix@swc-it.nl Lextendo : Testing, Level design - lextendo@haast.net - Author Information - It's been a dream of mine, since my childhood, to develop a game someday. That day is nearing, as here is my first game! You may think it's just a Tetris clone, but it's not to me. And I really tried to make it stand out (Smooth downwards scrolling, multiplayer CoOperative mode). Whether you like or dislike it, please DO mail me your comments on the game. The game is freeware. The only thing I want to gain from it, is that it gives you a nice feeling playing it. So please take a minute of your time, to give me your feedback on it! - Game Information - HaCKeR is a Tetris clone. The game put's you (the hacker) against the worlds most advanced computer system! When you start a new game, you can select a game type. - In HaCKeR mode you have to complete increasingly difficult levels. - In Original mode you have to try to score as much points as possible on 1 level. - Single player mode puts you against your own reflexes! - In CoOp (CoOperative) mode you team up with a friend (you HAVE to work together!) - In HaCKMaTCH mode you try to outlast your opponent! The Blue bar is the power bar for the 2nd Next Block display. In HaCKeR mode, the bar is obstructed at some levels by power relays. Complete a row at the level of the obstruction to clear it. If all obstructions are cleared, the 2nd next block display will turn on. In Original and HaCKMaTCH Mode it fills up as more blocks are stored in your level. If more then half the block positions in your level are filled up, the 2nd next block display will be turned on. The Red bar has a dual function. In HaCKeR Mode it displays your current level progress. When it reaches the top you've completed the level! In Original and HaCKMaTCH Mode it indicates your speed progress. The higher the bar, the closer you are to a speed increase. Currently the game will speed up after every 250 points.
