What about the dashed line in the menus?

In many menus, at the upper edge, there is a dashed line. If you click it, the menu appears as a separate window.

So, the menu area becomes a dialogue window. This feature is known from Interleaf 6 on Unix. On Windows, it isn't usual but quite practical.
