Transform Entities Automatically

If a document contains special characters which are not displayable by standard encoding, then these are written down numerically, e. g. Ä (decimal) or Ä (hex) for the letter Ä.

If such a character is often used, e. g. european special characters, then they are written down as named entities, e. g. Ä for Ä.

The benefits of numerical entities is that they contain the whole Unicode character set. The benefits of named entities is better readibility.

This editor provides automatical transformation of named entities with one-letter value when loading or saving. That matters all named HTML entities.
