| Use Apple Sherlock |
- On the toolbar, click the Apple Sherlock button.
- Click Open Apple Sherlock.
- Click the Search Internet tab.
- Type words relating to your search in the Words field.

| Use Find Similar Sites |
- Open the site in the browser that you want to match.
- On the toolbar, click the Apple Sherlock button.
- Click Find Similar Sites.

Note
- The Apple Sherlock button is available in Internet Explorer only if you are currently using Mac OS version 8.5.
Tip
- When you use the Explorer Bar to search, your list of search results remain in view while you check out the Web pages that the list referred you to. This is convenient when you have to search through a large list.

Apple Sherlock is a powerful new Find tool provided by Mac OS version 8.5, and supported by Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.5 Macintosh Edition. Apple Sherlock lets you search your hard disk for file names or content, and lets you search the entire World Wide Web. Apple Sherlock also lets you find other sites similar to one that you are viewing. To start Apple Sherlock from Internet Explorer, click the Apple Sherlock button on the toolbar, and then click Open Apple Sherlock. Apple Sherlock contains built-in Help, which you can open by clicking the Help button (?) on the Apple Sherlock dialog box.

- Open the Web site that you want to summarize.
- Click the Apple Sherlock button, and then click Summarize to Clipboard.
You can view the summary by clicking Show Clipboard from the Mac Edit menu.

Saving the text on the current page to your computer
- On the Edit menu, click Find.
- Type the text you want to find.
- Change any settings as needed.
- To find only those occurrences of text on the current page that match the uppercase and lowercase characters you typed in the Find box, select the Match Case check box.
- To begin searching at the top of the page, select the Start From Top check box. When this check box is cleared, Internet Explorer begins searching from the current location on the page.
- Click Find.
- To continue searching for the same text, click Find Again from the Edit menu.
Note
- You can find text only on the current page. To search a whole Web site, use a search engine.

- Type the text for which you are searching in the Find box.
- Select the Match Case or Start from Top check box, as needed.
- Click OK.
