Only the ThinkPad 760ED is supported. To determine whether you have to update the program, refer to "Summary of Changed and Fixed Items." To update the program, refer to "Installation Guide." Released Version ---------------- Version 1.00 Initial release for ThinkPad 760ED Version 1.10 A fix for some problems Version 1.11 A fix for some problems Version 1.12 A fix for some problems Summary of Change ----------------- Key: Diskette version (for example, 1.00 means Version 1.00) (New) New function or enhancement (Fix) Correction to existing function <1.00> - (New) Support for ThinkPad 760ED <1.10> - (Fix) The power saving function is updated. - (Fix) The out-of-lip-sync problem for the PAL clip with irregular resolution size is fixed. - (Fix) MPEG video no longer halts during chapter seek. - (Fix) The flashing noise is eliminated in specific MPEG file play. - (Fix) Conventional memory usage is reduced. - (Fix) The Thermal problem is fixed. <1.11> - (Fix) The system no longer hangs in MPEG play when docked into the PCI docking station. <1.12> - (Fix) MPEG video of a small file size cannot be played repeatedly. Installation Guide ------------------ Notes: - Use this driver diskette only for the ThinkPad 760ED. - Before installing, make sure that you have installed the following software in the computer: - Video Features Diskette for Windows (Version 1.10 or later) - Mwave DSP Features Diskette for Windows - Microsoft Win32s Setup Diskette - Video Capture Driver II for Windows 3.1 (Version 1.11 or later) - Digital Video Producer (including Video for Windows run time) 1. Start Windows. 2. Select MAIN. 3. Select CONTROL PANEL; then select DRIVERS. Note: You must first uninstall previous drivers for the installation of the new drivers to work! Follow steps 4-10. 4. Select (MCI)CD-i/VideoCD from the list of installed drivers. If the driver is not there, go to step 6. 5. Select Remove, and then confirm by selecting YES. 6. Select Don't Restart Now. 7. Select (MCI)IBM Mpeg-2 from the list of installed drivers. If the driver is not there, then: A: If you removed a driver in steps 3-5, restart your system. B: Otherwise, go to step 11 and continue installing MPEG drivers. 8. Select Remove, then confirm by selecting YES. 9. Select Restart Now. 10. After restarting Windows, select MAIN. 11. Select CONTROL PANEL; then select DRIVERS to install the MCI drivers. 12. Select the ADD option. 13. Select Unlisted or Updated driver, specify the installation diskette path, and press Enter. The installation driver recognizes the (MCI)IBM MPEG-2 and (MCI) CD-i/VideoCD drivers. 14. Select (MCI) CD-i/VideoCD and press OK. 15. Select Don't Restart Now. 16. Repeat steps 12 and 13. 17.
