Replace String: Enter replacement string in this field or select a previous string from the combo list (). The string can be a simple replacement, a regular expression, or a replacement involving special replacement operators. To create a binary replacement using special characters, click the
button to the right of this field. If you create a Binary replacement, the string, "Binary mode -->>", is displayed in the replace string area.
It is also OK to have a replacement string present during search-only operations. For example, the screen modeled here has a replace string "<body bgcolor="#FFFFFFF" entered even though the screen shot was generated from a search-only operation.
Notes:
Please See Word Documents Notes for important information on search & replaces in non-text files such as Word documents, Word Perfect documents, spreadsheets, etc.
When a script is active, this field may change to reflect the script in place, e.g., "Use Script file: xxx", where xxx is the name of the script file.
Replaces are not preformed on files in ZIPs. Manually extract files if you want to make replaces on them.
