File Operations
Search and Replace File Operations are available from the Actions Menu, the Context Menu, or by pressing the F2 key after a search had been performed. Highlight one or more strings or files in the Search Results list and activate File Operations.
You can drag n drop files from the File Operations dialog into any folder you want in Windows Explorer. The folder does not have to be the folder specified in the "Copy To:" field. Please note that drag n drop to Windows Explorer is a convenience function only. The program does NOT expand subdirectories. For example, if D:\Example\Directory_Toolkit.htm is dropped in the D:\Temp, the program does NOT create a D:\Temp\Example folder. This means you will need to be careful about name collisions. If you drag n drop both D:\Example\Directory_Toolkit.htm and D:\Example\OldFiles\Directory_Toolkit.htm into D:\Temp you will get a file change notice from Windows.
Additional Notes:
Files can be selected/de-selected in the File Operations dialog by highlighting or removing the highlight.
A context menu that includes a simple search function is available by right clicking on a file (see below).
Important: A confirmation is offered for delete operations. However, deletions are permanent. The program does not use the recycle bin. Delete with care!
This function can be used for file operations after script-based searches but full support for scripts using multiple file paths is not available. If you will be using File Operations after a script, please separate scripts into single path scripts.
Version 4.0+ has a special registry switch that can be used to specify the File Operations default target path.
