Kathleen Virginia Berry Saleeby, 78, of Wilmington, NC peacefully went to Heaven after suffering a heart attack. Kathleen was born on Knotts Island, NC to the late Grantham and Bertha Berry of Elizabeth City, NC. After moving to Wilson, NC, she completed her education and training and became a registered nurse. She married the late Wade Samir Saleeby Sr. in 1956 and lived together in Wilson, NC.

Kathleen loved Jesus, her family, cooking, reading, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her smile and beautiful eyes, made everyone feel at home, and they were a window into her kind and gentle soul. Countless friends of her children, that called her Mom, have been touched by her genuine love over the years. Kathleen was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC.

Katheen is pre-deceased by her husband and is survived by her six children: Wade Saleeby Jr., of Chapel Hill; Toni Saleeby of Wilmington; Sonya Saleeby Voliva of Greenville; Sherry Saleeby of Ayden; Maria Saleeby Thompson and husband Daniel of Wilmington; and Amber Saleeby of Wilmington; and grandchildren, Eric Spencer Saleeby Raper of Wilmington; Stephanie Austin Saleeby of Wilmington; William Mason Voliva of Greenville; Leah Grace Thompson and Cyrus Wade Thompson of Wilmington; sisters Lena Karn of Virginia Beach, VA; and Marie Cartwright of Elizabeth City, NC; and numerous relatives.
