21st CCLC - Opportunities for Students in All Grades

McGregor School District is the recipient of multi-year Federal 21st CCLC Program grant funds administered through the Minnesota Department of Education.

21st CCLC activities, serving all grade levels, are implemented by Program Director Cheryl Meld.

Opportunities through 21st CCLC are offered throughout the year during non-school hours. With the exception of Readers’ Club, students may join programs at any time during the year. The following opportunities are in place for the 2009-2010 school year.

• Readers’ Club – All grades –Must register at Fall Open House
• Community Engagement & Service - Multi-grade levels
• Kids Club - Grades 1-4
• Volleyball - Girls Grades 4-6
• Elementary Homework Help - Grades 4-6
• Student Publishing - Grades 5-6
• Writers Club - Grades 6-8
• Middle Minds Enrichment– Grades 6-8
• Credit Recovery - Grades 7- 8
• Ski Club - Grades 7-9
• Small Group Mentoring - Grades 7-10
• Leadership Skills – Grades 7-12
• Knowledge Bowl - Grades 7-12
• Performing Arts - Grades 7-12
• High School Homework Help - Grades 7-12
• Science Lab Nights - Grades 7-12
• Higher Math Help - Grades 9-12

Summer

• AR Reading and Enrichment - Grades 1-6 - Weekly at Public Library
• Recreation & Enrichment - Supplement to daily Summer Nutrition Program
• Credit Recovery - Grades 7-8

We also sponsor a number of trips and events during the school year and summer. Adult volunteers are welcome in all program areas.
