Delete a Digital ID
- On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Security tab.
- Click Import/Export.
- Click Export your Digital ID to a file.
- Click Select, click the Digital ID that you want to remove, and then click OK.
- In the Filename box, enter the path and name for the file, or click Browse.
- In the Password box, type the password for the file.
- In the Confirm box, enter the password again.
- Select the Delete Digital ID from system check box.
Click OK. Outlook creates a file in the location you specified in step 5. The file type is one of the following: .pfx, .epf, or .p12.
- Delete the file Microsoft Outlook created in the previous step.
Important You will not be able to open any messages that were encrypted by using the Digital ID you removed.
