Change the width of a column in table view

This feature is available only if you are using single-line layout. In multi-line layout, Microsoft Outlook automatically resizes the column headings as you change the width of the message list.

1. Right-click the column heading, and then click Format Columns on the shortcut menu.
2. Under Width, do one of the following:
   • Select Specific width, and then enter a number in the characters box.
   • Select Best fit to have Outlook automatically resize the column to the best size.
