Dig Dug digs fruits, vegetables... and tunnels. The Thrill of the arcade game.
I am glad I have the manual as I have never understood that game, I have just discovered we could fire and destroy the evil denizens of the underground!!!
PROTECTION TYPE
On a standard DOS 3.3, volume 254 diskette:
- A change of markers (D5 AA 96, AA DE EB, D5 AA AD, AA DE EB)
DISK COPY
- Launch Advanced Demuffin 1.4
- Insert Dig Dug in disk 1, press P
- Insert a blank disk in drive 2
- Copy the disk with the standard parameters
=> You have a copiable diskette, not a bootable one
REMOVE THE PROTECTION
We now have to replace the right values in the RWTS
- Launch your favorite sector editor
- T0/S2/9E: AA => DE
- T0/S2/A3: DE => AA
- T0/S3/35: AA => DE
- T0/S3/3F: DE => AA
- T0/S3/91: AA => DE
- T0/S3/9B: DE => AA
- T0/S6/AE: AA => DE
- T0/S6/B3: DE => AA
That's it, you can make a backup copy of your diskette.
