You are the commander of a specially trained squadron consisting of seven crew members. You are ordered to infiltrate the energy production plant on the planet "Karis". You must then free any survivors and destroy all hostile alien forms.
The Apple II adaptation is from Kyle Freeman. It is a must-have. That game is fantastic: fast action, multi-directional scrollings, music during the game.
PROTECTION TYPE
On a standard diskette, a nibble count is used.
DISK COPY
- Launch Locksmith 6.3 fast disk backup
- Copy the disk
REMOVE THE PROTECTION
If you then boot your copy, the game will stop and "PLEASE USE ORIGINAL" will be displayed.
The nibble count reads nibbles from the disk and stores the result at $1EB9..$1EBA. The original values are DD and A9. The original values are 0D and 01. Those are read and compared during the boot process and must be correctly set up.
Launch your favorite disk editor
Remove the call to the nibble count
- T1/SE/2A: 20 F9 1E => 2C F9 1E
Set the original nibble values
- T1/SE/B9: DD A9 => 0D 01
I have played several levels with no problems. Your backup copy is now ready,
