*********************************** AM/FM *********************************** The Shanghai music (5 songs) (c) 1992/1993 Bjørn A. Lynne / DENS Design The summer 1992 I was contacted on a BBS by a programmer who had made a game, and needed some music for it. He needed a title-song, two different in-game background pieces, a game-over song and a high-score song. We agreed on a price for this, which he was to pay me after he had sold the game to a software company. He didn't ever tell me the title of this game, but he claimed it was an Oriental-inspired Shanghai-style game, but with a different game-play. Fine, I thought, and went to work. Unfortunately, the programmer was never able to sell his game to any software company, and therefore he didn't have any money to pay me for the music either. That means the music is still mine, and I can do whatever I want with it. I choose to share it with the AM/FM readers on this AM/FM Special Disk #4. There's a lot of music here. On most if it, I had a quite limited budget of chip-memory, so all of it might not sound very impressive due to the lack of memory I had available. Since I never knew the actual working title of the game, I just called the music Shanghai-this and Shanghai-that, in lack of anything better to call it. The following pieces of music are in this "package": Shang.title The title-song to appear on the front-page of the game. Shang.in-game.1 In-game background music number 1 Shang.in-game.2 In-game background music number 2 Shang.game-over The game-over tune. Shang.high-score The song playing while you're entering your name on the highscore list. *********************************** AM/FM ***********************************
