During Christmas 1993 our Ninety Two year old Grandmother, Annie Elizabeth Craft, fell and broke her hip. After initial hospitalisation and a hip replacement operation our Grandmother was moved to a second hospital to recover. As Grandmother Craft was the eldest member of the Craft family, our duty to the family came first and so Gareth and I aborted our writing and recording projects until we felt that our Grandmother was showing signs of recovery, this we encouraged, as did other members of our family, by visiting our Grandmother in hospital every opportunity available to us. Besides, we didn't want to create unnecessary loud musical noise in our bedroom studio when our parents were worried about our Grandmother's situation. Unfortunately, our Grandmother didn't recover and sadly died. Gareth and I were two of four grandchildren who were the coffin bearers at her funeral. Annie Elizabeth Craft has been finally laid to rest with our Grandfather Wilfred Craft and an appropriate headstone errected in their memory. As you can appreciate the Craft Brothers recording project has experienced a temporary setback owing to the emotional strain and unfortunate loss of a loved one so close to us both. Gareth and I have recently returned to the writing stage and have been re- working a piece written by Gareth called 'Aegis', a Church Opus, which when completed will be dedicated to our Grandmother and will be featured on our CD. Since all this has been going on in our lives recently, we have re-evaluated our perception of our intended CD project and have decided to concentrate on a concept album for which we are currently researching for appropriate material. With reference to the Technical Dimensions CD, Gareth and I have submitted a DAT Master of a song called 'The Last Time' which lasts 6:11 mins and contains vocals by Kevan R.Craft, all Acoustic and Electric Guitars were recorded on a Tascam 38 analogue 8 track synched up to the Amiga running Music-X software for the MIDI backing instruments. This hopefully will feature on Technical Dimensions Amiga music compilation CD.
