Welcome  to  the AM/FM BASEMENT TAPES!  As the name suggests, this is a column
to  which you can send in a cassette tape with some of your own work, and have
it  described  and  reviewed  in  AM/FM!

I  doubt that this column will be appearing in every issue; being realistic, I
don't think that many will send in tapes, but I can always hope!  Of course, I
hope to get as many tapes sent to me as possible!  You can send in what you've
made  on  the  Amiga,  using  just  the  Amiga  or using synths, even acoustic
instruments  are  welcome, yes vocals too!  There are NO demands for the tapes
we  welcome.   You  DON'T  have  to be a super-pro or anything, ok?!  Don't be
afraid to send us your stuff!

When  you  send  the tape, please tell us a little bit of background story and
let  us  know what kind of equipment you used to produce your music.  Also, if
you  put  a  "title"  on  your tape, that will make it easier to present!  And
remember:   The  packaging  and  presentation  will  also  be mentioned in the
review!

If  you want your tape back, you must include unused Norwegian stamps worth 20
NOK, or two international reply coupons!

I  will  try  the  best I can to review every tape that is sent to me.  I will
also  try  to  be  a  fair  reviewer; but I can't promise that I'll be totally
objective,  because  reviews  are,  and  will always be, a matter of taste.  I
won't  put my own taste and personal preferences aside when I review tapes, so
if I think Polka sucks, I will NOT give a good polka-tune a good review!  Ok?

So  go  ahead  TODAY  and  send  your tape to the usual AM/FM address which is
written  down  at least 20 other places in this magazine (So I won't bother to
write it down here!)
