More MIDI Synth songs taken from Internet archives. I found several songs of interest in a collection named "Awesome." The original contains 28 MIDI files; some translated well to the GS and others didn't. I've split the ones that translated into two groups, in order to have more managably-sized archives: AwesomeSeq.SHK contains the ones that (IMHO) translated better; Awesome2Seq.SHK has some nice sounds as well, but someone else may want to try and re-instrument them. Here's synthfile's description of the sequence files in this archive: built.seq Uses instrument file Synth.Bnk MIDI sequence contains 114778 bytes (14347 events) 170 measures; estimated playing time is 4:48 el.seq Uses instrument file Combo.bnk MIDI sequence contains 130650 bytes (16331 events) 146 measures; estimated playing time is 4:24 elit.seq Uses instrument file Combo.bnk MIDI sequence contains 160114 bytes (20014 events) 108 measures; estimated playing time is 4:25 gl1.seq Uses instrument file Synth.Bnk MIDI sequence contains 112666 bytes (14083 events) 84 measures; estimated playing time is 4:46 hu.seq Uses instrument file Synth.Bnk MIDI sequence contains 67066 bytes (8383 events) 107 measures; estimated playing time is 3:33 smooth.seq Uses instrument file Synth.Bnk MIDI sequence contains 81754 bytes (10219 events) 138 measures; estimated playing time is 4:35 staying.seq Uses instrument file Demo.bnk MIDI sequence contains 71034 bytes (8879 events) 50 measures; estimated playing time is 2:00 walk.seq Uses instrument file Demo.bnk MIDI sequence contains 124610 bytes (15576 events) 165 measures; estimated playing time is 3:53 who.seq Uses instrument file piano.bnk MIDI sequence contains 74338 bytes (9292 events) 76 measures; estimated playing time is 1:32 Be sure to include the required instrument (.BNK) and associated waveform (.WAV) files in the directory with the sequence files, if required by your sequence player. Note that synthLAB cannot play sequences that contain more than 128Kbytes of data. The raw MIDI files were translated to MIDI Synth format by MIDI Surgeon, published in the Jan/Feb 1994 GS+ magazine.
