NEW DOS-BASED MUD DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM INTRODUCED AT ONEBBS CON Continuum Software emphasizes ease of development and operation ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- CONTINUUM SOFTWARE has introduced a DOS-based MUD development system, INDUSTRIAL PROSE & MAGIC, that can run both as a BBS door and a stand-alone system. This is the world's first commercial, subscription-oriented, non-Internet MUD system. Particular attention has been paid to ensuring that non-technical users can install, design, and operate any sort of MUD desired. Internet MUDs, although extremely popular, require C programming expertise to set up and administer, and obviously need to run on an Internet site. "Over the past few years, MUDs have been incredibly popular in the Internet world. Some countries have even banned them, as they have caused a significant growth in network traffic," said Eric Olsen, a spokesman for Continuum Software. "But up until now, the rest of the world has been excluded from the fun. Industrial Prose & Magic is going to change all that." Industrial Prose & Magic can run on any IBM-PC compatible computer, although a 386-33 with a 19.2 modem is recommended. Memory requirements vary with the number of nodes to be run concurrently. Continuum Software is a software development company with offices in Atlanta and Milwaukee. CONTINUUM SOFTWARE, 916 Underwood Ave, Atlanta, GA 30316.
