Yeah, once I`m in the vicinity of a colour scanner I`ll get a picture
scanned, okay? Name: Chris Hanretty
Tries to escape conviction as:Obscure Reference
Age:Young
Address:Withheld for his own safety
E-mail:100720.1325@compuserve.com

Chris Hanretty is currently studying English, Maths, French, Modern Studies, Physics, Chemistry, Computing (doh!) and Music at Trinity High School, the web site of which he designed should be up and running "Any Day Now". Teachers at the school try to convince other people he is learning something, but this is complete fabrication.

Also, he plays the flute to Grade 5/6 standard, and doesn`t play the guitar at all. At least, he shouldn`t. He also takes part in debates, using his persuaviveness and roguish good looks to... <Hey you, get out of here!>.

Highlights of his short and mostly un-interesting life include:

Receiving a commendation in the 1995 Pushkin Prizes (Scotland)
Appearing in the title role of the 1997 Trinity High production of the "King And I"

He tries desperately to convince people he can act and sing. He can`t

Chris Hanretty first met the Amiga sometime circa 1990 (it was all so long a go now..), when Commodore still had a (relatively) good name. He met his 500+ by reason that it could "do games and also serious stuff". This was the first mistake made by his father.

His 500+ died in 1995, just as he was beginning to discover that he could fill up floppy disks with modplayers, and use it for serious stuff too.

Then, by lying cheating and stealing, he convinced his parents to get him an Amiga 1200HD in the Escom era. Then of course, he realised that he couldn`t do much without more memory, and also why not, a faster processor. This led him to getting a Viper MkII 33 Mhz with 4Mbs of Fast RAM. And for a short while milk and honey flowed verily in the land of 1230/33/4Mb/170MbHD. And then, things started to go wrong

If you see this man, be wary. He is not armed, but is still considered extremely dangerous. He would kill to get his hands on a 4000T.

General Likes and Not-likes

By the bedside table at the moment:

Flaubert`s Madame Bovary, Primary Colours, just because I can`t find a space for it on my bookshelf, and finally, not actually on the bedside table, but in the computer`s hard drive, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance. Or ZAOMM for short.

I also like spinning on swivel chairs :-)
