Scott Becker Scott Becker was born in Chicago in 1951, and has spent much of his life in the Midwest of the United States. He obtained a degree in studio arts in the mid Seventies, which included the study of sculpture and printmaking. He began a career as a graphic designer and learned many related skills including industrial video production and commercial photography. Up until the mid eighties his aesthetic work took the form of 'found object' sculpture, drawing and photographic collage. In 1986, he began to use the Macintosh computer to create monochromatic one bit imagery using a video camera to digitize, and as the capabilities of the software increased so did the complexity of his imagery. His current visual work on the computer combines his experience in sculpture, printmaking and photography. His computer images have been published in a variety of magazines in the United States and abroad. He has published a book of verse which was published in limited edition in 1991. His experiments in other media have brought his imagery from the computer to video animation, multi-media and into three dimensional realms such as glass and stone. Scott Becker P.O.
