Licence

This Program is FREEWARE. You are allowed to use and distribute dunmon for free,
but you are NOT allowed to sell dunmon for profit.

You are using dunmon at your own risk, no responsibility is taken for damages to
your computer system.

Install / Uninstall

Install

Copy it into any folder and start it from this location.

If dunmon should start on the systemstart, make a link in the Startupgroup
(Startmenu/Programs/Startup), or you activate the CheckBox "Shortcuts" ->
"Startup" in the dialog "Preferences". If you crate a shortcut in this way,
it will take a little while until it's ready, so be a bit patient ;-). This
shortcut is for the current logged on user, not for all users (NT)

Uninstall

Delete:
  * dunmon.exe
  * asshortcut.dll
  * readme.htm

If this files are at the same location delete them also:
  * Verbindungen.log
  * dmop.ini
  * and all links to this program

This program made no entries in the registry, so it is not necessary to launch
regedit an do some adventurous things ;-).

Usage

The user interface is provided through an icon in the taskbar and supports
english and german language, which is set automatically according to the system
default language. If an other language is installed, english is used (tested on
Win95b, Win98, WinNT 4.0 SP5 with english, german and french
language).

A single click on the icon shows the dialog, a doubleclick connects to the
default DUN-Service, or disconnets from one, if there is one active.
A right click shows a popup-menu.

Menus:

• Show / Hide
  Shows or hides the Mainwindow.
• Connect
  All installed DUN-Services are listed in the Submenu, if you click on one,
  dunmon tries to connect to this Service.
• Disconnect
  Disconnects an active DUN-Session.
• Offlinemode
  Sets the Computer into global Offline.
• Preferences
  Shows a window, with which you can customize the program.
• About
  Shows the Aboutdialog.
• Exit
  Closes the Program.

Hotkeys:

It is also possible to define Systemwide Hotkeys for Show/Hide the app, start
and disconnect from a DUN-Session and On-/Offline mode.
Of course, you should know about all your defined Hotkeys (for Links on the
Desktop as well). This program doesn't check whether one Hotkey is already in
use by another program (or Link).

Evaluate:

To evaluate the connections click on the commandbutton "Compute" in the dialog.
With the comboboxes you can choose for which user (only possible if users are
logged on Windows), for which DUN-Service and for which month the evaluations
should be made. If you choose another month than the current, the color of the
Textboxes will turn into red.

Intervall:

If you choose 0 (Zero) as Intervall (Dialog "Preferences") then the program
never checks, if there is a connection active or not. Useful if you only want
to use this program to Dis-/Connect from DUN-Services.

Internettime:

If you want, you can synchronize your systemtime with an internet atomictime on
connect: ("Preferences"|"NTP"|"Synchrinoze Systemtime with Atomictime").

You can turn off errormessages and notifications on failure of the
synchronizationprcess (default) by activating the CheckBox "No Messages"
("Preferences"|"NTP").
If you want to find some other Timeservers, go to a searchengine an search for
"Timeserver". Here is a list from NTP Timeserver in germany:
http://die.weltherrschaft.de/jschwender/ntp.html

Launch Program:

If you want to launch some Programs on Dis-/Connect:

Open the file dmop.ini with e.g. Notepad and add some Lines:

• Connect:

  [LaunchConn]
  Count=1
  Prog_0=D:\Programs\anything\aprogram.exe
  Dir_0=D:\Programme\anything

  Prog_ ... The Program to launch
  Dir_ ... Workingdirectory for the program
  Count ... Count of Programs

• Disconnect:

  [LaunchDisconn]
  Count=1
  Prog_0=D:\Programs\anything\aprogram.exe
  Dir_0=D:\Programme\anything

  See above.

Currently no UI for this feature.

Commandlineswithes:

-close
  Closes a running instance from dunmon.
-hangup
  Disconnects from an active connection and closes the program.
-connect[ dun sercive]
  Connects to the passed DUN sercive, or if not passed, it connects to the default
  service and closes the program.

• VB 5 Runtime, if you use it without Installationprogram.
