Miller Johnson's Symbols

Miller Johnson's debris symbols represent "10 rough sketches" from Dr. Jesse Marcel (presumably Figure 1) plus "60 similar characters" created by Miller Johnson (Figures 3 and 4).

Miller Johnson symbol numbers are read as follows in the tables below.

First row left to right (1 - 16).
Second row left to right (17 - 31).

Basic Observations

1) 80% of Marcel's symbols drawing contain curved shapes.
2) 100% of Johnson's symbols contain curved shapes.
3) 45% of Santilli's symbols contain curved shapes.
4) 90% of Marcel's symbols generally fit Johnson's symbols.
5) 12% of Santilli's symbols generally fit Johnson's symbols.
6) 20% of Marcel's symbols generally fit Santilli's symbols.
7) 60% of Marcel's symbols contain two-segment objects.
8) 40% of Johnson's symbols contain two-segment objects.
9) 41% of Santilli's symbols contain two-segment objects.
10) 0% of Marcel's symbols are more then two segments.
11) 20% of Johnson's symbols are more than two segments.
12) 40% of Santilli's symbols are more than two segments.
13) The basic symbolic theme of Marcel's symbols is curves, arcs, semi-circles, etc., which are non-complex.
14) The basic symbolic theme of Santilli's symbols is straight lines which are complex.
15) It is not symbolically possible to reconcile the gross differences between the Marcel symbols and the Santilli symbols.

Note

It is not the intention of this page to attempt to either prove or disprove Roswell, but rather to illustrate certain discrepancies between the alleged "alien autopsy film" and other accounts of the "Roswell Incident". There are, of course, other interpretations of what transpired at Roswell in July of 1947. The official Air Force report explains the events that transpired at Roswell as the result of a secret Project Mogul balloon. Charles B. Moore, one of three surviving Project Mogul team members recently commented about the markings on reinforcing tape used in the Project Mogul balloons. The following excerpt is taken from David Thomas' article, "The Roswell Incident and Project Mogul" in the July, 1995 edition of The Skeptical Inquirer.

Many witnesses of the debris described tape with flower designs or hieroglyphics on it. Moore recalls that the reinforcing tape used on NYU targets had curious markings. "There were about four of us who were involved in this, and all remember that our targets had sort of a stylized, flowerlike design. I have prepared, in my life, probably more than a hundred of these targets for flight. And every time I have prepared one of these targets, I have always wondered what the purpose of that tape marking was. But . . . a major named John Peterson, laughed . . . and said 'What do you expect when you get your targets made by a toy factory?'"

In the SI article Thomas includes an image of symbols from the Mogul balloon tape. While it is as yet unclear what the precise origin of these symbols is from the article, I have provided a comparison between them and the Jesse Marcel symbols.

After we have had a chance to verify the origin of the symbols with Mr. Thomas, an analysis will be provided for them. Again, since the intention of this page is not to attempt to either prove or disprove Roswell, the future version may be moved to a seperate page.
