Installation

Run Setup.exe, optionally with the -s silent option.

Add the -noreboot option if you don't want to reboot after the install is performed and if required by the setup.

Supported languages

Localized versions are all contained in the same package:

Chinese (PRC), Chinese (Taiwan), Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portugese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish, Swedish, US English.

Changes

All OS

· install shield has been modified to verify that the OS is the right one before upgrading

· lock front panel and start screen saver order modified

· Fixed problem with 3D Maze screen saver

Win2k

· focus issue : configuration window does not display in front

· guest logon under win2k is now functional

Known issues

· If an application installs more recent versions of the Dlls MFC42.dll and msvcrt.dll, the user is prompted for upgrade confirmation, even during silent install

All OS

· Keyboard should be installed after Outlook express and Toptools to configure it by default

· Some strings are truncated on the help panel (like "Internet Explorer"), in French, Thailand...

· The feature 'Restore existing instance' does not work for the 'Default Web Browser' and the 'HP Information page'

· Changing the system default mail client is lately taken into account (it is not the case for the default Web browser).

NT4

· i8042prt logs an error when a mail is manipulated (received/read)

Win98/Win2k

· An application launched or restored with the keyboard cannot be activated (i.e. the main window goes foreground) in many cases.

Known limitations

NT4

· Netscape - Finding information key works only 1 time out of 2 if the key is pressed too quickly.

Win2k

· An upgrade from RC1 to RC2 disables the driver - re-install it to have it running, the configuration will be lost.

· The phone dialer is not always started if pressing the key just after having closed the dialer.

All OS

· Keyboard should be installed after Outlook Express and TopTools to configure it by default.

· Using the volume control keys when the screen saver is running will cause the screen saver to be reset.

Upgrade recommendation

Installshield has been modified to verify OS before upgrade.
