This system was created with JDesignerPro,
the Java Intranet application solution from BulletProof.For the HelpDesk application to load an run successfully this page must be loaded in your browser using a URL such at the following:
http://www.mydomain.com/JDesignerPro/HelpDesk.htm

As soon as you load this page, the Help Desk system will automatically begin loading. This Help Desk system will load as a webtop application. A webtop application is a Java-based system that runs within the browser Java Virtual Machine, but opens as a full window of its own, outside the browser client.
At first you will see the login screen. Your login ID choices for this Help Desk system are:
- sysadmin
- supportadmin
- support1, support2, support3, support4
- guest
Each of the passwords is exactly the same as the login name, ie: user, supportadmin, also enters "supportadmin" as the password. The usernames and passwords are completely customizable by you from within the system.
The user profiles for the Help Desk system are:
- sysadmin. This person has access to all the JDesignerPro building screens and system maintenance screens. Those are the areas used for development and maintenance of the system structure and its user authorization settings.
- supportadmin. This person has access to the Admin Detail, Self Help and Open Requests screens of the Help Desk system. The supportadmin sees all entered support requests and has authority to assign a wsupport request to the support personnel.
- support1-4. These users are the support professionals in the group. They have access to Open Requests and Request Detail screens to see only the requests assigned to them. These are the people who will handle the support request work.
- guest. Guest is the name under which the general Employee population logs in. Any number of people can log in as guest at the same time. Guests see the Self Help screen and the Support Request submittal form. The Support Request submittal form is where all new entries start.
Let's get started. Enter "supportadmin" as the username and password in the login window and press OK
All users have access to the Help text screens within the Help Desk system.
There is a set of mock support requests in the table that is installed automatically with the system. Use these as a guidline.
