  1. Press Enter to begin a new paragraph.

  2. From the Item TagItem_tags.tex popup list, click Numbered Item.

    or

    Press the function keyFunction_keys.tex assigned to Numbered Item.

    or

    From the Tag menu, choose Apply, select Numbered Item, and then choose OK.

    The program automatically inserts a lead-in objectGlossary.Tex#leadin object that will be replaced by a number when you preview or print the document. On the screen, the lead-in object appears as a small box containing a number.

  3. Type the text of the list item.

  4. Press Enter.

    If an item contains more than one paragraph, type the continuation paragraphContinuation_paragraphs.tex, then press Enter.

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each list item.

  6. ClickitbpF22.4375pt20.3125pt2ptpoptag.wmfor press the function keyFunction_keys.tex assigned to the Remove Item Tag button to remove the lead-in and to leave the list.

    You can reset the sequence of the lead-in numbers for nested lists.
