- From the Tag menu, choose Appearance.
- In the Tags list, choose the tag whose mathematics specifications you
want to change.
- In the Format area, double-click Math.
The program opens the Math dialog box.
- If you don't want to use the default settingsMath_defaults.tex for the appearance of mathematics, uncheck the Use
Defaults for Math Settings box, then set the specifications you want:
- Use the scroll boxes at the side of each specification list to move
the attention to the selection you want or to change the measurements.
- If you want to italicize any alphabetic characters, check the
Italicize Alphabetic Characters box.
The Sample box shows the effect of your changes.
- Choose OK.
The program changes the tag specifications and enters the tag in the
Modified Tags list.
- Repeat steps 2–5 for all the tags you want to change.
- If you want the mathematics changes to be in effect for more than
the current working session and
- You want your changes to affect the appearance of the tag for all
documents created with the style, choose Save.
- You want to save all current tag specifications in a new style,
choose Save As, specify a file name for the new style and choose OK.
If you don't save the mathematics changes, they will remain in effect only
until you close the document.
- Choose OK.
