This is the home page of the Internet Engineering Task Force, a loosely organized collection of professional volunteers who oversee the engineering protocols development of the Internet. Users can access hypertext and gopher versions of the proceedings of IETF meetings, which are held three times a year. In addition, users will find information on IETF working groups and their projects. IETF working groups are the entities that actually perform the hardcore engineering work needed to further Internet protocol standardization as well as development of the Internet.
