Playback Controls

 The User Experience

Cabrio was created to allow power, expandability, functionality and ease-of-use all in a tiny window. The interface is very intuitve and you probably already have the hang of it, but if not, here is a description of the playback controls.

Note: Most skin developers will stay to the tried and true icons for controls; sideways triangle for Play, a box for Stop, etc. The description of the playback controls will tell you how to use the controls. Their appearance will differ from skin to skin. If the layout of a skin confuses you, goto the Preferences window of Cabrio, and turn on tooltips, this should show you where everything is.

Play/Pause
If you click the Play/Pause control when no track is playing, it will start playing the first track in your playlist. Clicking the Play/Pause control when a track is playing will pause the playback, click it again to unpause.
Stop
Very simple; clicking the Stop control will stop the currently playing file.

Previous/Next Track
Clicking the Previous track will go back one track in the playlist, Next track will go forward one. This control will only work if a track is playing or is paused.

Increase/Decrease Volume
Will either raise or lower the volume by 5%. The minimum volume is 0, the maximum is 100.

Collapser
Toggles between collapsed and full state for the player window. Collapsed state is like minimizing a window in Finder, it just takes up less room.

Add MP3
Click the Open File control to open a new file. For more info see Opening Files

Mode

The mode control will bring up a popup menu containing 4 playback modes:

1-Normal

2-Repeat One

3-Repeat All

Playlist
The playlist control displays a popup menu of all the tracks in the current playlist. Selecting a track make it begin to play. Command+Clicking on the playlist control will show the Playlist Window. For more info on playlists see Playlists
