Where the Files Are

The Directory Structure of the Program is as Follows:

The Main Directory
This is The Directory that you have chosen to install the program to - "Web PriceList 2001" - in the above example
The ONLY file in this directory that requires Backing Up is "web2001.cfg"

Backup Files
This Directory and all of it's sub-directories are used by the program to store backup copies of the data files for the pricelist(s) you are working on and have used the backup function for.

Restoring Files is a Manual Process
Eg: To Restoring the Default PriceList you would

  1. It is Suggested that even though the Working files might be corrupted to still copy them to another directory first (ie. The Files in "\Price Lists\Default")
  2. Delete The Files in the Directory "\Price Lists\Default" - Don't delete any of the sub-directories or their contents
  3. Copy the Files from the Backed Up Directory "\Backup Files\Price Lists\Default" to the Directory "\Price Lists\Default"
  4. Now you can run the program
If the program Still error's when loading then it might not be the data files that have been corrupted and instead a completely different problem - (This is Why it's a good idea to keep a copy of the working files before restoring)

The "Db-d" and "Help Files" Directories
These are just files used by the program and DO NOT require backing up as they are never changed

PriceList Files
This is the set of Directories where the main Working Files are Stored and is the Directory and Sub-Directories that should be backed up by you from time to time as there are files here that are NOT copied to the "BackUp Files" sub-directory when you use the internal backup function.
For the Standard License version there will only be one sub-directory called default but for the developer version then each additional pricelist will be placed in a separate sub-directory "List 1", "List 2", "List 3" , ......, "List {x}"

Each PriceList has the following sets of Sub-Directories:
