Showing the calendar
To view the MenuCalendarClock just click on its icon (either a little calendar icon or a clock text or both) in the menu bar. This will pull down a monthly calendar view (like pocket calendars have).
Hiding the calendar
Three ways to hide the calendar exist:
- clicking the button at the bottom right with a cross in it
- clicking the MenuCalendarClock icon in the menu bar again
- waiting for a specified duration (see Preferences) for the calendar to hide
Calendar Hot Key
You may also use a system hot key for showing/hiding the calendar. The default is Control+Option+Command+C to toggle the calendar display. If you have registered you are able to configure the hotkey to your liking.
Changing the month
To change the month to be displayed use the 'previous month' and 'next month' buttons at the bottom left. The display will then switch to the respective month.
The "today" button
To navigate quickly to the present day, click the "today" button (the "dot" button at the bottom). The current month is shown with the present day marked.
Showing the "schedule list"
MenuCalendarClock can display events/appointments of days, weeks and months in a list. To show them just click on a day, a week (provided you let MenuCalendarClock show calendar weeks) or the month name. Click on a "white" area to shrink MenuCalendarClock back to normal size.
Showing the "To Do" item list
To show the current "To Do" item list, click on the "To Do" button on the bottom (the button with the 3 horizontal lines in it). Clicking that button again (or clicking on a day, week or the month name) hides the list.
Searching events and "To Do" items
To search in events and "To Do" items, first make sure that the search field is shown. If not, check the entry "Show Search Field" in the "gear"-menu. It is checked when the field is shown. Just type in a word (or part of a word) and see the matching events and "To Do" items appear at the bottom. You can adjust the search range by using the little magnifying glass menu in the search field.
